Austin High MUN Programs

  • FRESHMUN

FreshMUN is a conference that has been put on each year in the past by Model UN students at Austin High. This conference teaches freshmen in all four academies about the United Nations as well as the Model UN program at our school. Students participating in this conference will become familiar with a certain global topic and learn how to effectively and properly conduct research. This conference will be useful in developing public speaking skills as well as critical thinking while collaborating with fellow classmates.

  • MIDDLEMUN

MiddleMUN is an annual, all-middle school conference hosted by Austin High's Model UN program. MiddleMUN aims to engage middle schoolers in lively debates, offering a smaller-scale conference for delegates to practice their debate skills and learn about the world of Model UN through experience. MiddleMUN is 100% student-run and offers exciting background guides and experienced dais' to mimic a larger high school conference, preparing middle schoolers for competitive high school Model UN environments.

  • Junior AUSMUN

Junior AUSMUN Summer Camp is a four day immersive experience and preview of high school Model United Nations, designed for rising 7th through rising 9th grade students. Campers will gain critical research and writing skills, public speaking confidence, global awareness, and long-lasting friendships through participation in Junior AUSMUN Camp! It is important, now more than ever, that students and members of younger generations are informed on and involved in international current events.
